Type a capital

to reset the S140.

(PANIC HANDLER ADDR.)R

Type the panic handler address followed by a capital R.

The System should respond with a message indicating a ’CPU malfunction...’

Type a capital P to proceed

UNIT 3 READY?

CPU message tells you to mount a tape on the drive and set the tape drive
select switch to unit #3 (thumbwheel switch).

Type a capital P to proceed. The CPU then writes an image of the core
memory to tape.

DONE

When CPU is done, remove the tape and set the tape drive select switch to
unit # 0.

Set the tape drive thumbswitch back to 0.

Reset the CPU, Bring the disk drive to ”READY”. Bring the system to the ’R’ level.
