2. Be aware that the steam wand could still
be hot, while unblocking the holes of the
steam wand tip. For this, use the needle
of the steam wand tip cleaning pin.
3. If the steam wand remains blocked, with
the Espresso Machine OFF, unscrew the
steam wand tip by hand.
4. Soak the steam wand tip together with
the steam wand, using a solution (instruc-
tions below).Thereafter, rinse all parts
thoroughly.
5. Screw the tip back onto the steam wand.
Do not over tighten.
Tip:
The steam wand can be left immersed in
the milk jug filled with water when not in
use to reduce the risk of blockages.

If the seals do become damaged however,
replace them with the supplied steam wand
tip, gasket and 'O' ring.

CLEANING THE FILTER BASKET AND
PORTAFILTER
The filter basket and portafilter should be
rinsed under hot water after each coffee
making session to remove all residual cof-
fee oils.
If the holes in the filter basket become blocked,
dissolve a cleaning tablet in hot water and
soak the filter basket and portafilter in the solu-
tion for approx. 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
CLEANING THE SHOWER SCREEN AND
GROUP HEAD
Periodically, run hot water through the group
head with the filter basket and portafilter in
place, but without ground coffee. This will
remove any residual ground coffee particles
from the shower screen.
1. Wipe the group head interior and sho-
wer screen with a damp cloth to remove
any ground coffee particles.
2. Install the empty filter basket and porta-
filter in the group head. Empty the drip
tray.
3. In standby mode, press the 2 CUP button
and allow water to run for 20 seconds.
4. Then press the 2 CUP button again to
stop and release pressure.
CLEAR WATER BACKFLUSH
After each coffee making session, we recom-
mend doing a clear water backflush before
you turn off the machine.
1. Empty the drip tray.
2. Insert the cleaning disc into the filter bas-
ket and place the filter basket into the
portafilter.
3. Then insert the portafilter into the group
head.
4. Press the 2 CUP button and allow pressu-
re to build for 20 seconds.
