7.5 Replacing/Cleaning Dust Filters
Dust filters are located behind the ventilators grids on the two side panels of the
DX4040 analyser (Figure 28). It is highly recommended to vacuum clean the dust filters
after every use. The filters can be replaced by opening the two 2.5 mm hexagonal
screws holding the grid.

7.6 Replacing Probe Filter
Sample probe maintenance includes the replacement of the probe filter and the
cleaning of the pressurized air blown through the probe. If the probe has been badly
stained, water and suitable detergent can be used to clean it
It is highly recommended to check the probe filter after every use and replace it if
necessary (Figure 29).
1. Pull the tube out of the probe by simultaneously pressing the connector on the
probe and pulling the probe tube.
2. Unscrew the two screws under the probe using a 2.5 mm hexagonal key.
3. Lift the lid of the probe.
4. Unscrew manually the black filter cover from the main body of the probe.
5. Replace the filter.
6. Screw manually the black filter cover back to its place.
7. Insert the lid of the probe back and screw the screws back.
8. Insert the probe tube back.
