DX4040 INSTRUCTION AND OPERATING MANUAL (E2.04)

- Ensure that the computer antivirus software do not prevent the synchronization

of files with the PDA.

- Ensure that PDA battery is fully loaded.

- Start the PDA.

- Connect USB cable from computer to PDA. After few seconds, the

synchronization software starts in the computer and the PDA memory is

accessible via Microsoft Explorer.

- If the connection to the PDA is impossible, check the following USB parameter

onto the PDA: Start → Settings → Connections → USB to PC. If “Enable

advanced network functionality” is checked, uncheck it. This can help to

synchronize

the

PDA

with

the

computer

6.2.3

HASP Key Driver Installation

The HASP license keys used by Calcmet require a driver, which has to be installed

before Calcmet software can be installed. The HASP drivers can be found on the

Gasmet DVD (HaspUserSetup.exe), or you can download the most recent version from

the manufacturer’s site:

Do not insert the HASP key yet.

6.2.4

USB to Serial Converter Installation

If the computer you are using does not have a physical COM port, you will need to use

the USB to Serial port adapter supplied with the analyser. Gasmet USB to Serial

converter is the only model recommended and tested by Gasmet Technologies Oy.

This converter is certified to be recognized by Calcmet software. Please, follow the

instructions below in order to install the converter successfully:

Ensure that the USB/Serial converter is not connected to the computer before

installing the driver.

Insert the provided USB to Serial converter installation disk into your DVD drive.

Browse the DVD and execute the setup file located in the following directory:

~:\UC232A\Windows series\UC-232ADriverInstaller.exe
