DX4040 INSTRUCTION AND OPERATING MANUAL (E2.04)

possible during DX4040 use in order to prevent extra heat. Dust filters provided by

Gasmet are the only one usable.

Care should be taken in order to ensure a correct airflow around the DX4040 and avoid

fan obstruction.

Instruction regarding the change of dust filters is detailed in the maintenance chapter.

4.3.6

Probe

DX4040 specifically designed light probe combines an embedded gas filter. Filter

cleanliness is important to insure correct measurements. Filters provided by Gasmet

Technologies Oy are the only one usable.

Sample gas should be at ambient temperature and avoid sudden changes in ambient

gas temperature in order to prevent condensation in sample cell.

Follow the instructions below in order to connect/disconnect the Gasmet 6 mm tube

adapter to/from the probe:

To connect the tube to the probe:

- Insert the 6 mm tube to the probe inlet by pushing the tube as far as it goes into

the connector.

To disconnect the tube from the probe:

- Push the connector collar downwards with thumb and index finger and

simultaneously pull the tube upwards.

Instructions regarding the change of probe filters are detailed in the maintenance

chapter.

4.3.7

Carrying Handle, Shoulder strap and Carrying Harness

A carrying handle is used to carry the analyser safely in vertical position. Alternatively, a

shoulder strap can be used to carry DX4040 in vertical position by connecting the metal

snap hooks onto DX4040 o-ring belt buckles. For backpack use, a specifically designed

sturdy and adjustable carrying harness can be attached easily by connecting the metal

snap hooks onto DX4040 o-ring belt buckles.

Refer to Chapter 5 for proper carrying of the analyser.

4.3.8

Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)

DX4040 operates with a provided sturdy IP67 PDA running Gasmet proprietary

software Calcmet Lite. This combination allows to operate the DX4040 and get

concentration results in seconds using a Bluetooth connection in between the analyser

and the PDA. A functioning range of maximum ten meters can be obtained in between

analyser and PDA.

4.3.9

Optional Computer

Optionally, DX4040 operates with a laptop running Gasmet proprietary software

Calcmet. This combination allows operating the DX4040, getting concentration results
