Suspension setting
CORRECTION ACORDING TO TERRAINS
Always make changes from the default se tti ngs and only make them if neces-
sary.
Hard terrain
So ft en the compression damping adjustments on both the fork and the shock.
Sandy terrain
S ti ff en the compression damping or replace the spring for one more s ti ff er on
the fork. S ti ff en the compression and especially the rebound of the rear shock, it
can also help to reduce the spring preload.
Muddy terrain
S ti ff en the compression damping or replace the spring for one more s ti ff er on
the fork. S ti ff en the compression and rebound in the rear shock, it can also help to
increase the spring preload.
STATIC SAG
To adjust the SAG of the suspension, follow these steps:
1. Put the bike on a stand that allows you to leave the rear wheel in the air in
a stable manner.
2. Measure the ver ti cal distance (1) between the rear axle nut and the bolt
clamping the mu ffl er.
3. Get o ff the bike of the bike stand and posi ti on it with both wheels on the
ground (not supported on the side stand).
4. Re-measure the ver ti cal distance between the rear axle nut and bolt clam-
ping the mu ffl er.
If the di ff erence between the measures is di ff erent from 35 mm, vary the spring
preload of the shock to get it.

ADJUSTING YOUR BIKE
Compression
• If you no ti ce that the motorcycle woobles or oscilates widely although
the speed and the obstacles are small, has a low driving posi ti on or has a
tendency to bo tt om on downhill, should harden the compression se tti ng of
both the fork and the shock. If this fails to correct, may be indica ti ve of a
too so ft or fa ti gued spring, and low SAE or insu ffi cient oil level.
• If the motorcycle feels hard, especially in a series of bumps, along with
lack of rear wheel trac ti on and high impact of the irregulari ti es, should
so ft en the compression se tti ng of both the fork and the shock. If this fails
to correct, may be indica ti ve of a too hard spring or excessive level of oil

Rebound 11 clicks from fully closed Preload 12 mm
Compression 9 clicks from fully closed Rebound 10 clicks from fully closed
Low speed compression 10 clicks from fully closed
High speed compression 10 clicks from fully closed
