The engine operates irregularly Spark plug dirrty or misadjusted. Verify the spark plug condi ti on and clean, ti ghten
or replace it.
Poor contact between spark plug and spark plug
cap.
Verify the spark plug condi ti on. Replace if dete-
riorated.
Igni ti on rotor damaged. Replace the rotor.
Water in fuel. Drain the fuel tank and fi ll up with new fuel.
Engine lacks power or poor acce-
lera ti on
Fuel supply defec ti ve. Clean the fuel system and verify its opera ti on.
Dirty air fi lter. Clean or replace air fi lter.
Leaking or deteriorated exhaust. Verify if the exhaust is damaged.
Dirty carburetor jets Dissasembly the carburetor and clean all jets.
Worn or damaged cranksha ft bearings. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Abnormal engine noise. Igni ti on problem. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Overhea ti ng. See “The engine overheats”
Detona ti ons from exhaust. Carbon build up in combus ti on chamber. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Incorrect octane or poor quality gasoline. Drain all gasoline and fi ll up with a higher octane
or new fuel.
Damaged spark plug or incorrect speci fi ca ti on. Replace the spark plug with a new one of the co-
rrect type.
Deteriorated exhaust gaskets. Verify the the exhaust gaskets. All gaskets must
be in perfect condi ti on, otherwise replace them
with new ones.
White smoke coming out from the
exhaust.
Deteriorated cylinder head gasket (water leaka-
ge into cylinder).
Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Black smoke coming out from the
exhaust.
Restricted air fi lter. Replace or clean the air fi lter.
Main jet too high. Verify main jet.
Gears do not engage correctly. Clutch does not disengage. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Bent or seized shi ft fork. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Gear seized at the transmission. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Damaged gearshi ft pedal. Replace gearshi ft pedal.
Broken or loose selector posi ti on spring Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Broken gear drum. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Broken spring in the gear selector ratchet. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Gears jump out. Shi ft fork worn out. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Worn gear grooves. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
Worn gear dogs. Go to your GAS GAS o ffi cial service.
