b) Never allow people unfamiliar with these instructions or children to use
the machine. Local regulations can restrict the age of the operator.
c) Never edge while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
d) Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or
hazards occurring to other people or their property.
2. Preparation
a) Never operate the machine while people, especially children, or pets are
nearby.
b) While edging, always wear eye and ear protection, substantial foot wear,
and long trousers.
c) Thoroughly inspect the surface where the equipment is to be used and
remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones and other foreign objects.
d) Before using, always visually inspect to see that the blades, blade
bolts and cutter assembly are not worn or damaged. Replace worn or
damaged blades and bolts in sets to preserve balance.
3. Operation
a) Use the machine only in daylight or good artificial light.
b) Never operate the machine with damaged guards or shields or without
guards or shields in place.
c) Switch on the motor only when the hands and feet are away from the
cutting means.
d) Always remove the battery pack from the appliance,

grass and when transporting the edger to and from the area to be
edged.
k) Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
