10.6 Remote control:
• The remote control range is up to 50 meters in the open field. This
range depends on local circumstances.
• For an optimal range, the phone shall be placed centrally at your prem-
ises or home. There shall be the least possible interference by steel
constructions, walls, floors, etc.
10.7 Battery warning:
• As soon as the symbol illuminates on the display, the batteries shall be
replaced. See paragraph 2.2 concerning inserting/replacing batteries.
- Always replace all batteries at the same time.
- Insert only equal alkaline batteries of 1.5Volt.
- You can not use rechargeable batteries for this phone, because of
their lower voltage.
- The memories and the recorded names and messages are stored in
flash memory chips that do not need backup power supply. So these
memories are not deleted when the batteries are empty.
10.8 Calling through a home- or office switchboard:
• We advise against to connect this alarm phone after a home or office
switchboard, at which a 0 of or other initial digits shall be dialed for an
outside line.
The reason for this is that it is often not necessary to dial this 0 during a
failure of the voltage, but that the phone does dial this 0. This results in an
incorrect connection.
