11 POSSIBLE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
The phone doesn’t do
anything/cannot dial
numbers.
Check the connections with the phone socket
and the power adapter.
Check whether the batteries have been insert-
ed and are full.
Poor or no readability
of the display.
Check the connection with the power adapter
and check whether the batteries have been
inserted and are full.
Check the setting for the contrast of the display
(see paragraph 9.1).
Cannot issue an
alarm through the
remote control.
You are out of reach of the phone. Shorten the
distance: Check the batteries of the remote
control (does the red indicator light illuminate
properly when pressing the SOS-key?).
No numbers are di-
aled in an emergency

phone book memory, or these numbers have
not been set as ‘emergency numbers’.
Weak handsfree
sound.
The volume control (at the right side of the
phone) is set at a low level. Increase the vol-
