Chapter 8  Maintenance

Replacement of Display Unit Backlight

Be careful not to pinch the connection cable under the cover.

Precautions for Usage of Battery

Take the following precautions when using the battery.

Battery Life

The battery can be charged and discharged (used) for approximately 500 times. Note that the service life varies 
depending on the frequency of use and the charging/discharging pattern of the battery. If the battery runs out shortly 
after being charged, this means that it has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced with a new battery.

Storing the Battery

If not using the equipment for a long time, remove the battery from the equipment and store it. Every three months, 
install the battery in the equipment and fully charge it. If left for a long period of time, the battery may self-discharge 
to the point where it can no longer be used.

Avoid storing the battery in a place where the temperature is lower than 0°C or higher than 35°C.

Replacement of Display Unit Backlight

The display unit backlight is a component of LCD module. After the replacement, adjust the touch panel.

Tool: Phillips Screwdriver #2

Remove the lower case block.

Refer to the assembly diagram (

"General Assembly Diagram" P5-9).

Remove the upper case.

Refer to Upper Case Block 1 (

"Upper Case Block (1/2)" P5-6), Upper Case Block 2 (

"Upper Case 

Block (2/2)" P5-7).

Replace the display unit backlight, and reattach the lower case and upper case.

Touch [Manufacturer Maintenance] on the maitenance menu, and enter "9001".
