Using the Tablet PC

The internal LAN/56-Kbps modem module of the Tablet PC supports transmission rates 
of up to 56 Kbps (receive), 33.6 Kbps (send) and 14.4 Kbps (fax). (Download rates are 
limited to 53 Kbps in the United States due to FCC restrictions.)  

 

The Tablet PC is designed to accept a standard RJ-11 telephone plug.

Connect the telephone plug to the modem jack of your Tablet PC (see "Left side view" in the 
section entitled "Getting Started"). 

The telephone plug can be installed whether or not the Tablet PC has power applied. 
Contact your local help desk or reseller if you need assistance using modem or LAN connection. 

PC card slot 

The PC card slot (PCMCIA) of the Tablet PC allows you to install a Type I or Type II PC card. 

Installing a PC card

Insert the PC card, contacts first, into the slot guide. The labelled side of the PC card should 
be facing upward. 

►

 

Slide the PC card carefully into the PC card slot. 

►

 

Press it firmly to ensure proper seating.
