Status display
Icons appear in the status display indicating the status of system functions such as system mode
and battery charge level.
1 = Power-on indicator
2 = Power source indicator
3 = Battery charge level indicator
4 = Hard disk indicator
5 = Security Panel indicator
The following table lists the different display states:
The specification "blinking" means that this indicator lights up once per second.
The specification "blinking slowly" means that the corresponding indicator lights up for one second
and then remains dark for five seconds each time.
If an icon is not displayed, it indicates that the related system function is off or inactive.
Icon Mode Indicator state Remarks
ON mode
Idle mode
Green The system is powered on and ready for
use.
Suspend-to-RAM
mode
Green, blinking The system is in the energy-saving
mode. Active settings were saved to
RAM.
OFF mode
Hibernate mode
OFF The system has suspended. Settings
and data were saved to the hard disk
drive.
Power supply Amber Power adapter and battery are available;
battery is charging.
Green Power adapter and battery are available;
battery is not charging (battery is fully
charged).
AC adapter is available but battery is not
installed.
Amber, blinking Power adapter and battery are available
and waiting to charge (battery is out of
thermal range).
OFF Power adapter is not available.
