Getting Started

Interfaces, ports and other hardware components

Ports and peripheral interfaces on the Tablet PC allow connection of a variety of devices.
Each of the illustrated icons is either moulded into or printed on the Tablet PC casing.

Port / Peripheral

Meaning

PC card slot

Slot for a Type I or Type II PC card

Port for SmartCard

No icon

Port for a SmartCard

Storage card slot

Slot for storage card (Secure Digital)

Monitor port

Connect an external CRT monitor.

Port for power adapter

Connect an external power source such as
the power adapter or auto/aircraft adapter.

USB port

Connect Universal Serial Bus 2,0 compliant
devices to the Tablet PC.

Microphone jack

Connect an external microphone.

The internal microphone is disabled when
you plug in an external microphone.

Headphones port

Connect stereo headphones or powered
external speakers.

The internal speaker is disabled when you
plug in external headphones or powered
speakers.
