8.2.8 Advanced System Configuration Submenu
This submenu appears when selecting "Advanced System Configuration" in the [Advanced] menu.
Use this submenu to configure the settings which are related to CPU, memory and USB.

Item Setting Description
ECC Memory Checking Enabled (Unchangeable) Sets to enable to check ECC error of memory or not.
PCI Bus Parity Checking Enabled (Unchangeable) Sets to enable the PCI bus parity checking or not.
BIOS Work Space Location
Expansion ROM Area
(Unchangeable)
Sets the location on the memory to assign the data
area that BIOS uses.
Limit CPUID Functions Disabled (Unchangeable) Sets to limit CPUID expanded function or not. If the
OS does not support expanded function, the system
may not start.
CPU Mismatch Detection Enabled (Unchangeable) Sets to enable checking the CPU type and frequency
or not.
CPU Thermal Management
Enhanced (Unchangeable)
Configures the CPU internal setting.
This item is displayed only when Intel® Xeon®
Processor 3040 or 3070, or Intel® Celeron® D
Processor 346 is installed.
CPU Halt Mode Enhanced (Unchangeable)
Configures the CPU internal setting.
This item is displayed only when Intel® Xeon®
Processor 3040 or 3070, or Intel® Pentium® D
Processor 925 is installed.
NX Memory Protection
• Disabled (At the time of
purchase)
• Enabled
Sets to enable "execute disable bit function" of
processor or not.
Virtualization Technology • Disabled (At the time of
purchase)
• Enabled
Sets to enable Virtualization Technology or not.
This item is displayed only when Intel® Xeon®
