PART II  OPERATION   HOW TO REMOVE SNOW

3．STOP SNOW REMOVAL WORK

●

Do not stop the machine on a slope. If you must stop the machine on a slope, be sure 
to put stopper blocks under crawlers. Do not set the change lever at or through 
"N.Neutral". The machine may slip down, which is very dangerous.

●

Before setting the travel clutch lever at "Off", be sure to set the change lever 
at "Neutral point" to stop traveling. Otherwise, the machine starts moving suddenly
when the travel clutch lever is set at "On", which is very dangerous.

     (1)

Set the change lever at "Neutral point" to stop traveling.

     (2)

Set the work clutch lever at "Off".

     (3)

Take your hand off from the travel clutch lever and set it at "Off".

     (4)

Push the auger housing control lever to lower the auger housing to the ground.

     (5)

Refer to "Stop the engine" (p.34) and stop the engine.

●

Be sure to remove the engine key from engine switch after stopping the engine.
The engine key may be lost and unexpected accident may occur.

4．KEY POINTS FOR WORK

During snow removal work, control and adjustment are necessary according to hardness and amount 
of snow and condition of the surface of road.

■WHEN THERE IS HEAVY SNOW, DEEP SNOW, AND HARD SNOW

●

Set the travel speed at low speed by the change 
lever so that engine revolution does not drop 
during work.

●

Control to make snow clearing range narrower 
than the width of auger housing.

●

During snow removal work, the travel direction 
of the machine may twist to right or left depending 
on quality and hardness of snow. Control the side 
clutch lever so that the machine can travel

straight, and remove snow.

■WHEN THERE IS TOO MUCH SNOW TO REMOVE

●

When snow can not be removed at one time, such 
as when there is more snow than the height of 
the auger housing, divide it into several times and 
dig down the snow.

●

To reverse during snow removal, raise the auger 
housing and then reverse.

●

The machine may slant toward right and left little 
by little due to the quality or hardness of snow. 
Remove snow while adjusting the auger housing
