Load Cell Calibration
PROBLEM:
Load cell replacement per
2.6, replacement of circuit board per 2.16
and other situations may require that the
load cell be re-calibrated to obtain accurate
fry basket loading for: Small, Medium and
Large loads.
1)
Roll the unit out to allow easy access to
rear service panel.
2)
Leave unit plugged in but be cautions
when opening unit back and touching
Boards, etc.
3)
Remove the two screws to open rear service access panel.
4)
Product hopper should be removed and set aside, and any remaining fries removed from
stainless Chute before proceeding. Do not remove the stainless Chute.
5)
Go to Main Control Boards and locate the diagnostic display (upper right) and three white
command buttons marked:
SW1
,
SW2
and
SW3
, just below the display surface mount.

Switch ON Main Power at front control
panel.
Display will show:
Stby
Note: If LANE POWER:
AUTO
or
MANUAL
is illuminated, turn lane OFF now.

Push and hold buttons: SW1
and
SW3:
Calibrate

1=OK 2=Mor 3=Ex
[Exit]

Press, hold then release SW1 button [=OK]
to enter Calibration Mode.
U.S. or Alt ??
1=US 2=Alt

Push SW1 for “US” load sizes: (100/67/33)
or SW2 for “Alt” load sizes: (100/67/50).
All Clear ??
S1=OK S3=Exit
Note: For next steps, the stainless steel Product Chute should be in place, but the product
hopper should be removed and set aside, and any
stray fries removed from the loading area.

Press SW1 [=OK] button to continue
calibration and wait several seconds while
processor calibrates its “zero” load condition.
Display will scroll through several
screens then display:
Add 1.5 pounds
//
SW1=OK

Add 1.5 pound calibrated weight [or six 4:1
Patties] to lane product loading chute.

Press SW1 button [=OKl] and observe LCD
display for up to ten seconds.
Display will flash several screens then
show:
1= Cal 2=Tst 3 = Ex
[Exit]

Press SW3 button again to exit Calibration
Mode
After a few seconds display will show:
Start?
6)
Remove 1.5-pound weight from the Product Chute.
7)
Reinstall Product Hopper in freezer and fill it with 2 bags of frozen fries.
8)
Check LCD display to insure “Start?” is shown for Lane being refilled with fries.
9)
Power up the Lane being calibrated by pressing and holding LANE POWER touch pad on
Operator Panel.
