Operator Manual KS 4000 OL / OLC

7.2.2 Load continuous-feed paper

• Open both transport tractor covers.

• Loosen locking screws on both transport

tractors (turn counter-clockwise) so that the
tractors can be moved laterally.

• Set transport tractors to paper width.

• Fold a piece of continuous-feed paper

lengthwise down the middle to locate the
sheet’s center line.

• Load the piece of continuous-feed paper

onto the tractors. Make sure guide-holes
mesh correctly with the transport pins on
the transport tractor belts.

• Close tractor covers.

• Move both tractors to correctly position the

sheet of paper to the middle of the
automatic cutter. The center is marked by
the end-of-paper light barrier.

• Tighten both tractor locking screws. These

lock the transport tractors into position and
assure precise paper transport.

• If necessary, use the knurled screws to

make fine adjustments to the tractor
position.

The continuous-feed paper should be held
so that it is not under tension and does not
sag in the middle.
