8.1

General notes

Caution!

 All repairs and maintenance work

should be carried out only by service
technicians who have been trained and
authorized by Francotyp-Postalia. Work
performed by unauthorized persons may void
the warranty. FP will not be held liable for any
resulting damages.

In the event of a fault or problem, the Inserting
System KS 4000 OL/OLC stops. With the
assistance of the system’s error signaling
system you can locate the problem and iden-
tify causes.

We recommend the following steps:

Press the 

 button on the inserter.

Identify the cause of the fault.

Remedy the fault (refer to Ch. 8.2 - 8.11).

Completely remove any sets of letter material
involved in the crash / paper jam and
complete the set by hand.

Clear (acknowledge) the error message.

Check the entire paper handling path for
other possible errors.

Resume operation:
Release the 

 - button.
