6.2.1 WALL MOUNTING
NOTE
The following procedures are to be performed prior to installing the
machine, in case of wall mounting.
1. Mount the corner brackets onto the top and bottom panels using
the nuts and bolts provided.
2. Remove the cable glands from the operating manual bag and
insert them manually into the holes in the upper panel as shown
in the figure.
6.1 INSTALLATION
WARNING
Only properly trained personnel may carry out installation and
maintenance on the machine.
Failure to follow instructions may result in the product not functioning
correctly, damage to equipment or serious personal injury.
CAUTION
The fan must be mounted in a completely vertical position
(excluding air circulators).
Ensure that the area on the air outlet side is unobstructed and
contains no structures up to a distance of at least 20 m.
Do not obstruct in any way, even partially, the fan air intake section.
WARNING
Lifting the machine to install it in a high position must be carried out
under conditions of safety. These procedures must, therefore, be
carried out by qualified personnel.
Due to their substantial weight, fans must be raised using self-
propelled aerial work platforms or forklifts with sufficient load-
bearing characteristics.
Lifting vehicles require performance characteristics that greatly
exceed that which is required for lifting the machine itself.
The use of personal protective equipment is required, especially:
- gloves and protective clothing resistant to cutting by sharp edges;
- adequate protective equipment to reduce the risk of fall injury.
WARNING
Only for cone air extractors:
Installation must be done in accordance with this manual, using the
support brackets supplied. Any other way of installation cannot be
guaranteed.
Protection of the suction area is required to prevent direct contact
with the blade for installations at a height of less than 2.7m from the
ground. For this purpose, an NT mesh accessory is mandatory.
The company recommends installation of the NT safety mesh even
for heights greater than 2.7m.
NOTE
The vertical mount to which the fan must be secured in high
positions must be strong, stable and suitable for supporting the
loads and vibrations produced by the machine.
The choice of mount is left to the installer and only the latter can
assess its feasibility.
Installing the fan on mobile mounts, such as doors or shutters which
are not robust enough for the purpose is prohibited.
Under no circumstances will the company be held liable for damage
to property and/or injury to persons caused by the installation of one
or more fans on unsuitable mounts.
