1-6 XWave Remote: Requirements
The XWave remote control operates on 4 ‘AA A ’ batteries. It is recommended that you use high
quality lithium or alkaline batteries for the best performance.

4. Access the battery compartment by removing the door from the back of the remote.
The door slides down and off of the remote.
5. Place the batteries into each battery cavity while observing polarity as indicated.
6. Slide the battery compartment door back on the remote.
2. Quick Start Guide
The XWave user manual is rather lengthy, covering all aspects of the XWave and remote
control. We realize that some of you may wish to jump directly into basic operations, such as
playing sounds manually, remotely, and using presets. This is a very brief overview and it is
strongly recommended that you read this manual entirely in order to fully understand all
capabilities of the system.
2-1 Playing Sounds Manually
After installing batteries as described in Section 1, turn on the XWave by rotating the
volume/power knob clockwise. The on-board display will activate and show system information
during the power-on cycle.
After it is fully powered, the sound list will be displayed. Use the scroll buttons on the front of
the XWave to scroll through the available sound list. When you find a sound you wish to play,
simply push the “Menu/Select” button to initiate playback.
You can then use the volume knob to adjust volume up or down to a desired level. By pushing
the “Menu/Select” button a s ingle time while a sound is playing, you can mute the sound. A
subsequent press will un-mute. To begin playback of a different sound, simply scroll through the
list, find the sound, and push the “Menu/Select” button.

2-2 XWave Remote Setup
After installing batteries or changing batteries in the XWave remote, it is recommended that
you make it a routine to take a moment to setup the date and time settings. This section will
explain these setup configurations.
