• Showing the MAC address

1. Select "MAC Addr.?" and press the

[SKIP/CURSOR] >>| key repeatedly.

The assigned MAC address shown on the display scrolls
left. (The address is fixed to "00. 06. 64. FF. 00. 06".)

Pressing the |<< key scrolls right.

2. To exit the Setup mode, press the [EXIT/NO] key

or [STOP] key.

• Setting the log-in names and passwords

You can set the log-in names and passwords for the
administrator and users (01 through 15).

1. Select "Login Name Admin?" and press the

[ENTER/YES] key.

The current log-in name for the administrator is shown
(the default is "dv40") and the leftmost character
flashes.

2. Enter a desired name by the following method.

Up to 8 characters can be used for a name.

• Press the [MARGIN/RESET] key repeatedly until the

current name is cleared.

• Use the jog dial or numeric keys to enter the desired

alphanumeric character, and use the |<</>>| keys to
move the editing point.

3. After entering the desired name, press the

[ENTER/YES] key.

The new log-in name is set and the display shows the
screen for entering a password (the default is "fostex").

4. Enter the desired password using the same

method as step 2 above.

Up to 8 characters can be used for a password.

5. After entering the desired name, press the

[ENTER/YES] key.

"Wait!" flashes for a while, and the new log-in name
and password are set. The display changes to show
"Login Name Admin?".

Tips: To set a user log-in name and password

Use the jog dial (or the [>>|] key) while "LoginName
Admin?" is shown to select a desired user number
(among 01 through 15), and press the [ENTER/YES]
key.
You can now enter the log-in name and password
by the same method as shown above.
