Commissioning Checklist 

 

FORUM Handling Tools strongly recommends accomplishing the SSW-40 commissioning with the 
FORUM Handling Tools Commissioning Service.

Read manual before first use!

OK

Check crew is aware of all danger regarding handling the FORUM Handling Tools tool.

OK

Go through manual with crew.

Carry out following checks prior the use of the FORUM Handling Tools SSW-40: 

Scope of supply

OK

Crosscheck all delivered parts.

Pneumatic and lubrication

OK

Operating pressure  

Min 90 psi to Max 160 psi  
Min 6.20 bar to Max 11.03 bar 

OK

Air filter and regulator

Lubricated and de-watered, air regulator and lubricator installed.

OK

Check Air Supply line is connected.

OK

Check for leaks in the pneumatic system.

OK

Apply grease to all greasing points.

OK

Check oil level in gear box.

Installation and function

OK

 

 

Backup lines are installed.  

[optional] 
Snub-Line-Sensor is installed on the correct side.  
 
Spin In = left hand side; Spin out = right hand side

OK

Check for correct location of the SSW-40.

OK

Check SSW-40 turns its rollers by air pressure. 

OK

Check SSW-40 lifts and lowers by air pressure.

essential points for an internal commissioning 
(e.g. after storage). Check at least the points on 
your SSW-40, which are mentioned above. For 
further questions or commissioning checklist
