Air motor assembly
The air motor generate a specific speed and turning
moment. The air motor assembly consists of two identically
constructed air motors. Both of them are connected
parallel and operate at the same time, so that the roller
assembly in the left and the right frame are activated
simultaneous.
A directional valve controls the direction and a throttle
valve the speed of the air motor.
Snub Line Sensor
This pneumatic-operated sensor will detect the presence
of tension in the snub line of a pipe spinner. If no tension
is detected, the pipe spinner will work with a reduced
rotating speed to prevent the spinner to kick. Additionally,
this sensor will prevent the spinner from swinging if the
spinner direction is inadvertently reversed. Once tension on
the snub line is detected, the tool will allow full rotating
speed. The sensor is designed with a safety factor of 3.00,
per the latest edition of API 7K, and is compatible with all
makes of pneumatic pipe spinners.
