NT8 User's Guide | Chapter 8: Software Overview

Click

Set Full

if you want to set the entire pipette tip caddy. For individual settings,

click the desired pipette tip (represented by a circle inside the box).

Click

Other HV tip caddy right-click menus:

THE WASH STATION

The wash station area is where you add the Wash Tip command and set the Wash Time. These
settings are required for sitting drop, hanging drop, seeding and serial dilution experiments.

To add the Wash Tip command:

Make sure you have added the Pick Tip command.

Double-click the

Wash Station

. The Wash Tip command appears on the Task List.

To set the Wash Time:

Right-click the

Wash Station

and select

Open Advanced Options

. The Task Details

dialog appears.

Set the wash time by typing a new value into the corresponding field, or clicking the
up or down arrows to increase or decrease the wash time.

Add

: Adds the specified settings to the Task List and closes the Task Details

dialog.

●

Add More

: Adds the specified settings and add more commands as needed to

the Task List.

●

Close

: Exits the Task Details dialog.

Pick Tip

Adds the Pick Tip command to the task list.

Return Tip

Adds the Dispose Tip command to the Task List. This option
appears only when you have added the Pick Tip command.

New Tip Caddy

Creates a new HV tip caddy.

Detach LV Tip Caddy

Detaches the HV tip caddy.

Tip

: If you have already added the wash command to the Task List, you can set the

wash time by double-clicking the Wash Tip command on the Task List.
