4.4.2.4 Assembly of the ActiveTip light guide
4.4.2.4.1 Area of application
The Aquamarine can be used for additional dental procedures with a
reusable light guide:
● ActiveTip, diameter: 8 mm
The light guide is delivered non-sterile.
The ActiveTip can be used only with the Aquamarine in the spectral range
of 445 nm ± 10 nm.
WARNING
After 2,000 sterilization cycles or 2 years which marks the end of the
service period, the ActiveTip will have reached their wear limit. Please
check the usage period based on the LOT number (definition of LOT =
week year e.g. 0217 for calendar week 2, 2017). Please replace the light
guide accordingly. The optical output can be reduced.
WARNING
If light guide rods from other manufacturers are used, physical
properties such as load carrying capacity and transmission behavior
may vary. The manufacturer therefore assumes no liability in such
cases.Therefore, use only original light guide rods.
