Setting a low timing (low degree number) within the specified reference values means that the motor has a little
more torque as compared to the basic settings, and a lower maximum speed.
Setting a high timing (higher degree number) means that the motor has a little higher maximum speed as compared
to the basic settings, and a little less torque.
In both cases, the current values change however. Therefore, also observe compliance with the motor and
flight controller specifications. Also observe the temperatures of the components named in operation.
If you do not have the corresponding specialist know-how and matching measuring equipment, we recom-
mend the setting „automatic“. In the setting „automatic“, the best setting for the motor used is automatically
set.
„6“ = Start-up characteristics
Here you can set the starting characteristics when moving the transmitter‘s control lever from „motor off“ towards
„full throttle“. There are three setting options: very soft, soft, normal.
„7“ = Governor mode
Programming the „Heli mode 1“ continually adjusts the motor speed up from 0% (depending on the programmed
value for the starting characteristics) to 100% in about 5 seconds if the transmitter sends the control signal „Full
throttle“.
At „Heli mode 2“, this increase takes about 15 seconds.
The functions named are also recommended as „Softstart“ if you want to control the motor of an electric glider by
switch on the transmitter.
If you adjust „full throttle“ back to „motor off“ within 3 seconds of speed increase, soft start is off for the
next motor start within the next 3 seconds.
If repeated start-up of the motor is more than 3 seconds before the last „motor off“ control signal the
softstart is activated again.
If the „Governor-Mode“ is on, a programmed brake is deactivated automatically and a motor deactivation
at undervoltage is changed to „reduced output at undervoltage“.
„8“ = Motor rotating direction
This function changes the rotating direction of the motor (left / right) without swapping the cables between the flight
controller and the motor.
„9“ = Cycle frequency of the flight controller
Cycle frequency can be switched between the values „8 kHz“ (recommended) and „16 kHz“. Since switching the
cycle frequency requires observation of many factors, like motor type, speed controller used, speed, current values,
etc., we recommend to deviate from the basic settings only in exceptions and under consideration of all necessary
parameters.
