Select Waveforms
Note
The units change from RMS for sine wave to pk-pk for square wave.
Note
In the Scope Menu Marker Function, this feature is more complex.
The Select Waveform slide-out menu is available for all Single Output menu ac, Dual Output menu ac,
Scope Marker, and Scope Waveform Generator functions. This menu lets you select different
waveforms. See
Waveform Types .
To select a waveform:
1. Tap the select waveform button ( ). The Select Waveform slide-out menu opens.
2. Choose the waveform type (not all waveforms listed are available in all Select Waveform menus):
• Sine
• Square
• %Duty (Scope Only)
• Spike (Scope Only)
3. Tap the Apply button or push
E
. The Select Waveform menu closes and the entry is copied to
the waveform button on the screen. Tapping x instead of Apply closes the menu without saving
changes.
Adjust Phase - Output to Reference
This slide-out menu is available for all ac functions and adjusts the phase between the primary Output
and the 10 MHz reference.
To adjust the phase:
1. Tap the Adjust Phase Output to Reference button ( for ACV, for ACI ). A menu
opens and shows the current degrees.
2. Touch the deg white box and use the number pad to enter a value.
3. Tap the
Apply button or push
E
. This closes the menu. The entry is copied to the correct
output on the screen. Tapping x instead of Apply closes the menu without saving changes.
When you use the knob to adjust phase, changes are applied immediately and the Apply button
disappears. Push
E
or tap x to exit the slide-out. Tapping x does not revert changes.
