Events Handler

The

Events Handler

tab is used for configuring settings for the various methods used for event

notification. The tab includes the following screens:

FTP

Recording Settings

SD Card

Snapshot

6.3.1.6.1 Email

It is possible to send notifications to up to 10 email addresses.

Note:

Before configuring email settings, check that:

There is an SMTP mail server on the local area network (LAN).

The network is connected to either an intranet or the Internet.

TCP/IP settings, including DNS Server settings, are configured in the

Network > General

screen.

To configure email settings

Select the

tab. The

screen is displayed.

In the

Basic Settings

area, configure the following settings:

Authentication

From the drop-down list, select one of the following authentication

methods:

No_Auth

No email authentication method is used. This is the default setting.

SMTP Plain

PLAIN is the least secure of all the SASL (Simple Authentication

and Security Layer) authentication mechanisms because the password is sent
