7.3.3 Headland
1. Close the hydraulic slide gate at the end of the tank
2. Set the switch on the control panel (screw distributor) to "Off"
3. Operate control unit I

5. Set control unit I to floating position

6. Open the hydraulic slide gate at the end of the tank
7. Set the switch on the control panel (screw distributor) to "On"
7.3.4 Retracting
1. Close the hydraulic slide gate at the end of the tank
2. Depressurise control unit II (screw distributor)
3. Set the switch on the control panel (screw distributor) to "Off"
4. Apply pressure (other direction) on control unit I (spreader folding) to fold up and retract the
spreader
7.4 Working with the machine
7.4.1 General safety and operating instructions
The following section contains some general notes on safety and operation for working with the drag
hose spreader, repeated and summarized together for better clarity:
1. The engine of the towing machine must be switched off when performing any repair work on the
attachment.
2. Bolts must always be secured with suitable cotter pins.
3. Ensure that there are no persons or objects within the vicinity of the drag hose spreader during
lowering.
4. When parking the tank trailer, secure it against rolling away (parking brake, wheel chocks).
5. Ensure that the hoses are always connected and show no signs of damage. Verify this before
every start-up.
6. Check the hydraulic hoses for damage and leaks before every start-up.
7. Replace the hydraulic hoses completely every 6 years at the latest.
8.
The oil motor and screw distributors must never be allowed to run dry.
9. Ensure that the pressure relief valve is not applied too tightly.
10. There is a risk of injury when connecting and disconnecting attachments on the trailer

11. Move all devices to the transport position before driving on public roads.
12. Allow for reduced load on the tractor front axle and loss of steering ability.
13. There must be no persons in the danger zone when the load is being discharged.
14. The drag hose spreader must always be raised when reversing or manoeuvring, for example.
15. When supplied via a control unit (constant flow), an oil volume of 20 l/min is required. This must
not be exceeded under any circumstances.
