Connect a Personal
Computer to a Remote
Power Supply

1. Connect computer to the Remote Power Supply. See Warning

above, and Figure 4-3.

a.Connect one end of the 9-pin to 9-pin cable to the HART

communications port on the personal computer.

b.Connect the other end of the 9-pin cable to the HART modem.

c. Connect one end of the BNC cable to the HART modem.

d.Connect the other end of the BNC cable to the BNC connector

on the Remote Power Supply as shown in Figure 4-3.

2. Turn on the computer.

4. If password security is enabled, the User Interface Login menu
