Note:

When re-inserting element use a wide flat blade or similar object to lift the

cavity insulation clear of the replacement element.

7.16

Cooling Fan

Location:

Back panel and top panel areas.

Removal

Follow general servicing instructions for components in back panel area. (Refer to
Section 7.3)

For single ovens and upper cooling fan on double ovens.

(a)

Remove top panel

(b)

Remove wiring from cooling fan motor.

(c)

Remove two screws on left of cooling fan and slide out from locating slot.

(d)

Remove four small retaining screws for the side brackets and transfer the brackets
to replacement cooling fan.

For lower cooling fan on double ovens.

(a)

Remove back panel. (Refer to Section 7.3).

(b)

Remove wiring from cooling fan motor.

(c)

Remove two screws on right of cooling fan and slide out from locating slot.

(d)

Remove four small retaining screws for the side brackets and transfer the brackets
to replacement cooling fan.

Re-assembly

(a)

Re-fit in reverse order.

(b)

Follow re-assembly procedure. (Refer to Section 7.5).

Exhaust Fan

Location:

In back panel area

For single ovens and upper cavity in double ovens
Removal

(a)

Follow general servicing instructions for components in
back panel area. (Refer to Section 7.3)

(b)

Remove exhaust fan retaining screws.

(c)

Remove longest section of vent ducting.

(d)

Remove exhaust fan wiring and transfer to replacement
fan.

(e)

Lift exhaust fan out of vent ducting and rotate counter-
clockwise to clear surrounding parts.

(f)

Pull exhaust fan off vent tube.
