Mounting Bracket

7.6

Function and Temperature Switch Modules

Location:

Control Panel.

Removal

(a)

Follow general servicing instructions for components around control panel area
(Refer to Section 7.2).

(b)

Pull off temperature and oven mode knobs and the clock twist button.

Note:

To best work on the control panel turn it face down and place blocks of

wood under the ends to elevate it off the working surface. Ensure there is some
padding between the control panel and the block of wood to avoid marking.

(c)

Remove ten screws securing
top and bottom powder
coated trims.

Note:

Trims are not identical so

care must be taken to re-fit
them correctly.

(d)

Disconnect earth wire from
tab on mounting panel.

(e)

Lift off mounting panel.

(f)

Remove retaining nut and washer of faulty module.

(g)

Disconnect wiring harnesses
and transfer to replacement
module.

(h)

Remove plastic mounting
bracket from faulty module
and transfer to replacement
module.

Re-assembly

(a)

Re-fit in reverse manner.

Note:

Ensure wiring harness wires are clear of possible crush points when re-

assembling.

(b)

Follow re-assembly procedure (Refer to Section 7.5).

Remove temperature and oven mode knobs and the clock twist button.
