5 MOTOR INSTALLATION
5.1 Included Components List
Wheel: Falco Hx Motor built into double skinned dimpled rim.
Note: If motor is supplied bare your wheel will need to be built by an
experienced wheel builder. We strongly recommend using a dimpled rim, this
allows for a straight spoke line and maximizes spoke life.
Battery Pack: Power supply for the Hx motor. Capacity will vary depending on
options taken.
Battery Carrier: Attaches to the frame of the bike. Holds battery in place and
transfers electrical energy between the battery and the motor.
Battery Charger:
Mains charger for battery pack.
Wireless Transmitter (Dongle):
Optional component for use with wireless
console.
Console: Optional component. Displays motor data and controls motor
settings while riding without the need for wires.
Control Buttons: Control buttons for functions and settings within the motor
and console.
Power Assist Sensor (PAS): PAS
sensor is mounted between the bottom
bracket and the frame. The magnet ring is fitted onto the bottom bracket axle
on the inside of the cranks. These components send the starting and stop signal
to the motor controller.
Throttle: Throttle can be used to over-­‐ride torque sensor input in the motor
controller for immediate starting.
Note: This component is only available in conjunction with certain Hx Motor
formats.
Torque Arm: This component slides over the motor axle and bolts to the
frame of the bicycle. This ensures the motor axle will not twist in the dropouts.
Cable Ties: For attaching cables to bicycle frame.
