8 THROTTLE INSTALLATION
You may be supplied with either a thumb throttle or a twist “half grip” throttle.
In both cases it is essential that this component does not interfere with any of
your gear or brake controls.
Step One:
Remove handle bar grip (rightside) using the flat head screwdriver to lever up
the end of the grip and spray in hairspray which will act as a lubricant while
wet and a glue once it dries.
Caution: If you are using lock-­‐on grips or handlebar tape use appropriate
methods to remove grip.
Step Two:
At this stage it will be up to you to decide where the throttle will be mounted
and that it is not interfering with any of your other controls.
Step Three:
Refit your grip using hairspray as a lubricant. Once the hairspray has dried it
will “glue” your grip into place.
Step Four:
The throttle cable must now be tidied to the frame. Where possible use existing
control cables to guide the throttle cable to the motor connector.
Caution: Check that there is enough slack on the throttle cable when
turning the handlebars or operating any of the controls as this could snap
the throttle cable and damage the Falco system.
