Brake characteristics
FKM motors have an optional brake that applies friction to the shaft. Its purpose is to
immobilize or lock vertical axes, not to brake a moving axis. Its main characteristics
depending on the type of brake are:

Note.
Maximum speed for all of them is 1000 rev/min.
NEVER use this brake to stop a moving axis !
The brake must never exceed its maximum turning speed.
A voltage between 22 V DC and 26 V DC releases the shaft. Make
sure that no voltage over 26 V is applied that prevents the shaft from
turning.
When installing the motor, make sure that the brake fully releases
the shaft before making it turn for the first time.
