dentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts
eyes, additionally seek medical help.

repair person using only identical replacement
parts.

tool is maintained.
CORDLESS POLE CHAIN SAW SAFETY WARNINGS
f
Use the pole saw for cutting wood only.
Do not
use this tool for cutting plastic, masonry, etc.
f
Keep all parts of your body clear of the chain
while the saw is running.
Before starting the saw,
make sure the chain is not touching any objects
f
Always hold the pole saw with your right hand at
the rear handle and your left hand at the front
handle.
Holding the chain saw differently (left hand
on rear handle, right hand on front handle) may af
-
fect the balance of the saw and will increase the risk
of injury.
f
Wear eye and hearing protection.
Other personal
protection equipment for the head, hands, legs and
feet is recommended.
f
Do not operate the saw while sitting or standing
in a tree. Make sure to have a safe stance at all
time.
Only use the saw when standing on solid, safe
and level ground.
f
When cutting a branch that is under tension, take
into account that the branch may spring back.
f
Use particular caution when cutting brush and
young trees.
The thin material may get caught in the
chain and hit you or throw you off balance.
f
Carry the switched-off saw using the front han
-
dle with the chain pointing away from your body.
Always put on the protective cover when trans
-
porting or storing the chain saw.
Proper handling
of the pole pruner will reduce the likelihood of acci
-
dental contact with the moving saw chain.
f
Follow the instructions for lubrication, chain
tension and changing accessories.
An improperly
tensioned or lubricated chain may either break or
considerably increase the risk of kickback.
f
Keep the handles dry, clean and free from gas,
oil and grease.
Slippery handles may lead to a loss
of control.
f
Never attempt to use an incomplete or altered
saw.
f
This machine is not intended for use by persons
with an impaired physical, sensory or mental ca
-
pacity or by persons with insufficient pole saw
knowledge or experience.

-
ing and proceed sensibly when working with an
electric tool.
Do not use the machine if you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medica

tion.
f
Young persons under the age of 16 are not per

mitted to operate this device.
f
Inspect the saw thoroughly before use for dam
-
age.
If any parts or pieces appear to be missing or
damaged, do not operate the saw.
f
Do not operate during adverse weather condi
-
tions, particularly during lightening and rain.
f
Always make sure the chain tension is correct.
f
Only use properly functioning pole saws.
Only
work with a saw chain sharpened according to reg
-
ulations.
f
Never saw with the upper edge or tip of the
guide bar.
f
Always hold the saw firmly with two hands.
f
Sawing wood under tension necessitates an
increased amount of caution. Wood that is sud
-
denly released from tension can react in a com
-
pletely uncontrolled manner. This can result in
severe to deadly injuries.
Such work may only be
performed by trained specialists.
f
The purpose of this pole saw is for limbing trees
and cleaning up branches.
Do not push it beyond
its limits or its capacities.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR OPERATION

bling, adjusting or cleaning, and before leaving the
machine unattended for any period.
f
Always use the harness to carry the tool weight on
the shoulder.
If you use the harness across your body,
learn how to use the quick release on the harness and
keep it in front of your body.
f
It is recommended that the unexperienced user
should have practical instruction in the use of the
saw and the protective equipment from an experi
-
enced operator.
The initial practice should be cutting
logs on a sawhorse or cradle.
f
This tool is not intended for use by persons (in
-
cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervi
-
sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
f
Wait until the chain has come to a standstill com
-
pletely before placing it down.
f
Any servicing should be performed by an autho
-
rized service representative.
REDUCING KICKBACK
Kickback can occur when the tip of the guide bar
touches an object or when the wood closes in and
pinches the saw chain inside of the cut. Tip con
-
tact can kick the guide bar up and back towards
the operator.
WARNING:
The danger of a kickback is greatest
when attempting to cut near or with the guide bar
tip. Always apply the saw as flatly as possible in
order avoid a loss of control during operation.
Pinching the saw chain along the top of the guide
bar can push the bar rapidly towards the operator.
Either of these reactions may cause a loss in con-
trol of the saw, increasing the chances of serious
personal injury. Do not rely on the safety devices
built into the saw.
