Installation Site Requirements

If you plan to cable your SSA switch with SFP+ pluggable transceivers, you might need to have 7.5 cm
to 10 cm (3 to 4 in.) of clearance on the switch I/O port side of the SSA switch.

for environmental guidelines relating to

the installation.

The installation site must be within reach of the network cabling and must meet the following
requirements:

•

Appropriate grounded power receptacles must be located within 2 m (7 ft) of the site.

•

A temperature of between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F) must be maintained at the installation site
with fluctuations of less than 10°C (18°F) per hour.

Caution
To ensure proper ventilation and prevent overheating, leave a minimum clearance space of 5.1
cm (2.0 in.) at the front and rear of the device.
