Time required to make a microcode update tape

Approximately 2

to 3 minutes are required to make a microcode

update tape. This includes the time required for the CTS to complete
the following actions:

1.

Load the new tape.

2.

Copy the code memories to the buffer.

3.

Validate the microcode load image in the buffer.

4.

Write the buffered data to tape.

5.

Unload and eject the tape.

Note:
