Performing Maintenance Procedures

Before performing maintenance procedures, use the troubleshooting
guidelines in the previous section to help you determine the
maintenance procedures to perform.

You can perform these procedures on the CTS:

Cleaning the tape path
Loading new microcode from tape
Removing a cartridge from a nonfunctioning CTS

You can also replace the following field replaceable units (FRUs):

Chassis panels
Deck subassembly
Door and retainer
Front bezel
SLD card
VUA card
VUA/SLD flex cable

Any other maintenance procedures must be performed by EXABYTE.
