ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 

The mains socket the UPS is to be connected to should be located near the battery 

and should be easily accessible. 

No extension cords should be used for connecting the UPS unit. 

 

CAUTION! 

The  UPS  is  disconnected  from  the  mains  only  when  the 

power lead is removed from the mains socket.

 

Due to the type and placement of  the fuses in  the power supply unit,  the protection 

systems  in  the  building's  electric  system  are  used  as  one  of  the  protection  levels. 

This  is  necessary  to  ensure  short  circuit  protection  of  the  power  supply  unit. 

The parameters of the building's electric wiring system protection should be selected 

to meet the requirements of the load connected to the wiring system and the type the 

load. In extreme cases, different characteristics of the building’s and the UPS unit’s 

electrical protection systems may result in the former system being activated earlier.
