Set the power switch to the "OFF" position.
6.2.5 REMOVING THE CHARGER
First pull the plug out of the socket and observe
the sequence for disconnection. This prevents
sparks from forming. Since charging generates
a detonating gas, this is particularly important
for the sake of your safety.
CAUTION
Disconnect the charger from the mains power supply.
Next, remove the black negative (-) cable. Now, remove the
red positive cable (+) from the positive pole of the battery.
Let the battery cool down.
Only for open batteries:
Fill the cells with distilled water
up to the level specifi ed by the battery manufacturer. Close
the battery cells with the stoppers.
The green 30 A fl at fuse can blow if the pole clamps touch
each other when the unit is switched on.
In this case, switch the battery charger off and disconnect the
mains plug from the socket. Pull the fuse out of the holder
and replace it with a new, equivalent fuse.
6.3 TROUBLESHOOTING
6.3.1 IN CASE OF SHORT CIRCUIT
Figure 5: 30 A fuse
In the event of overvoltage in the power supply system, the
5 A glass fuse may blow. In this case, switch off the battery
charger and disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
Unscrew the fuse holder. Replace the fuse with a new
equivalent one
(Ø 5 x 20 T 5 A).
