8. MAINTENANCE
The chlorinator has a self-cleaning system for the cell that
reduces maintenance work to a considerable extent. In
all cases, it is advisable to clean it at the beginning of each
pool season.
Bear in mind that the electrolysis sensor will age with use.
Chlorinating cell working life in optimum conditions is
10.000 h. The lack of cell cleaning or inappropriate mainte-
nance may get it shorter.
If after cleaning, the equipment fails to operate normally, the
cell must be replaced. In all cases, your supplier will inform
you about whether it is necessary to change it or not.
8.1 CLEANING THE ELECTROLYSIS CELL
Submerge the cell in a solution of hydrochloric acid. Do not
use sharp objects and try not to damage the titanium layer
on the electrodes.
Clean the electrolysis cell in the following cases:
• If the low salt level indicator is activated and the concen-
tration is correct.
• If the overload indicator is activated and the salt level is
correct.
• If the water flow alarm is activated and there is water in
the cell.
8.2 MAINTAINING THE CHEMICAL BALANCE OF
THE WATER
We recommend the following operating times:
These times are relative and depend on the use of the pool,
type of filter used, power of the filtering pump and weather
conditions.
To adjust the chlorine production, we advise making fre-
quent analyses of the chlorine, especially at the start, and
then increasing or reducing production as required.
9. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
The manufacturer provides a two-year warranty for the
electrical equipment and electrolysis cells in all the ESPA
Pool ESAL range models.
This warranty is given to the owner of the equipment and
is not transferable. All the saline electrolysis equipment has
been checked in the plant before packing. If any electrical
or mechanical problems should arise within 24 months of
purchase due the unlikely faulty operation or faulty compo-

nents, the parts will be repaired or replaced. No part will be
replaced if the faulty components are not returned.
This warranty does not include damage due to corrosion,
excess moisture, current, temperature or vibrations as a re-
sult of faulty installation, improper handling, excess voltage,
accident or any other cause not related to the operation of
the equipment.
In the event of a failure in the equipment, it must be returned
to the manufacturer or supplier. All shipping expenses will
be paid by the equipment owner. It should be considered
that all repairs made based on the warranty will be made
in the plant. The manufacturer reserves the right to modify
the equipment and the instructions guide without notice.
