Adjust for viewing errors
The system can be corrected at the eye-side
(far correction).
c
For eye-side correction, use the
accessories from Article No. 16221
(Former for spectacle glasses with 4
replacement attachment rings).
1. Grind the correction lenses to 22 mm.
2. Attach correction lenses using the
attachment rings to the eye-side of
the system.
c
If eye-side correction is not necessary,
the eyepiece cups [5] can be fitted
with caps [6].
If required, the adjustment supple-
ment in the Eschenbach brochure “Ad-
justment of magnifying viewing aids”
Article No. 162510 gives additional
information.
3. The focusing ring can be rotated [7] for
accurate focusing.
c
The focusing positions in the system
can be used to compensate spherical
correction (Dioptric compensation
± 5 Dpt.).
The focusing ring is difficult to rotate
in order to prevent the focus setting
from changing by itself.
Instructions for care
The magnifying/telescopic spectacles
should be kept in their case when not in use.
Clean the lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth
(e. g. lens cleaning cloth), for harder to
remove dirt (e. g. finger prints) slightly
dampen the cloth.

*) The effective viewing field in the Galilei
systems is dependent on the distance be-
tween the eye and the eyepiece. Therefore,
the viewing field values given are average
values (Viewing angle was measured at
HSA [cornea-lens distance] 10 mm).
