ping

12.11.1 Syntax

ip ping <destination> <ifname>

12.11.2 Description

This command pings a specified destination. If you are using a DNS client,
you can ping either an IP address or a host name. If you are not using DNS
client, you can

only

ping a destination IP address.

12.11.3 Options

The following table gives the range of values for each option which can be
specified with this command and a default value (if applicable).
