show

4.15.1 Syntax

bridge show

4.15.2 Description

This command displays the global configuration settings for the bridge.

The following bridge information is displayed:

•

Bridge MAC Address.

•

Number of bridge interfaces configured.

•

Type of the Bridge.

•

Filter

Age.

•

Unicast-Learning setting which is non-configurable, and always set to

Hybrid, i.e. VLAN learning is both “Independent” as well as “Shared”
depending on the association of VLANs with filtering databases. For
example, VLANs V1 and V2 have independent VLAN learning, by
means of their association with independent filtering databases, V1
with FDB1 and V2 with FDB2. VLANs V3 and V4 have shared VLAN
learning, by means of association with a shared filtering database
FDB3.

•

Multicast-Learning setting which is configurable and can be set to HVM

(Hybrid VLAN Multicast Learning) or IVM (Independent VLAN Multicast
Learning). In case of HVM, if two VLANs are associated with the same
FDB, the filtering information for a multicast MAC address in the other
VLAN too. However in case of IVM, filtering information for a multicast
MAC address in one VLAN is not shared with other VLANs.

•

Interface VLAN ID setting which is non-configurable and is always

enabled, i.e. the bridge supports the ability to override the default PVID
setting and its egress status (VLAN tagged or untagged) on each
bridge interface.

•

Traffic Class setting, which is the status of traffic class mapping. See

the

bridge set trafficclassstatus

command for more

information.

•

Tagging setting, which is non-configurable and always enabled, i.e.

each bridge interface supports 802.1Q VLAN tagging of frames.
