4.1.5.3 Connecting Holder Chassis and Lens Viewfinder
This section explains procedures until the lens viewfinder is installed. (Refer to figure4-19)
Step1. Install the reflector to the lens viewfinder.
Step2. Fix the lens viewfinder with 2 screws 2x5(#100).
4.1.5.4 Installing CCD and Lens Unit to the CA1 Board
This section explains procedure for mounting CCD and lens unit on the CA1 board.
INSTALLING CCD AND LENS UNIT TO CA1 BOARD (REFER TO FIGURE4-20)

Perform 1)Initialization, 2)5100K AWB adjustment and 3)Flange-back
adjustment, referring to Chapter5, when replacing CCD or CA1 board.

Discharge static electricity on your body before handling CCD.

Check the position of 1-pin, referring to the figure4-20, when you
exchange CCD. Failing to do so, the whole system may break down.

If you need to solder CCD, perform soldering after securing the lens
unit with screws. Otherwise, Images may not be read correctly
because CCD angle is not set accurately.

Make sure to peel off the sticker since the surface of the spare parts
of CCD has protection sheet, when replacing the CCD. Also, Clean
the area of CCD that receives light by damped with alcohol,
according to necessity.

The spacer between CCD and optical filter has a determined direction
to be installed. So, be careful not to dislocate it , referring to the next
page.

Optical filter has a determined direction to be installed. Refer to the
next page and assemble it without dislocating it.
Step1. Insert the optical filter to the lens unit with a pair of tweezers. At this time, be careful
for direction. (Refer to figure4-20)
Step2. Insert the spacer to the lens unit. This time also, be careful for direction.
(Refer to figure4-20)
Step3. Peel off the sticker, which is attached on the CCD surface. (In case of spare part)
Step4. Insert the lens unit, after matching CCD to the two notch points, which are located
on the corner of lens unit inside, and checking the position of 1-pin.
(Refer to figure4-20)
Step5. Match the holes of the mounting lens to 2 guide ribs of the lens unit, and push into
the lens unit.
Step6. Put the insulator over, matching to the shape of the mounting lens, which is already
mounted on the lens unit. At this time, each hole for screws should match to each
hole of the mounting lens.
Step7. Connect CA1 board and lens unit, matching 2 guide ribs of the lens unit and each
terminal of CCD to the each hole in the CA1 board.
Step8. Secure the lens unit with 3 screws (2 #104 screws and 1 #103 screw) from the back
of CA1 board. Following shows tightening torque for each screw.
