5.1.4 5100K AWB Adjustment
Here shows adjustment procedure to input values of white balance. This adjustment enables
camera to automatically memorize color temperature, which is input when the user emits light for
flash. Since these adjustment values to input in this section are stored with image data in the flash
memory of the CA2 board, it is necessary to perform this adjustment after performing initialization.
CAUTION
Perform section 5.1.2 “Initialization” before performing 5100K AWB
adjustment.
Step1. Select DscCal52 and display the screen for adjustment program as you can see
in the figure5-3.
Step2. Turn on the Color viewer and leave it for 10 minutes until brightness settles.
At this time, Set the volume of the color viewer to the maximum towards right
direction.
CAUTION
Locate the color viewer where fluorescent light or light from windows
do not enter.
Step3. Locate the camera closer to the emitting part of the color viewer approximately

3cm. At this time, hold edges of the camera and be careful not to touch ST1
board surface.
Step4. Select “AWB” on the screen. (See the figure below)

Step5. An indication appears to confirm selection.
Step6. Select “Yes”.
Step7. After 4 times of shooting, mean values based on those data appear on the screen.
Step8. Click “OK” on the screen.

Out of R, G, B, G always indicates 128 but R and B changes. Also, it
can not tell defective parts from non-defective ones by these output
values.
