Operation Principles

This printer uses a 4-phase bi-polar stepping motor driven by 24 V voltage controlled 2-2 phase
excitation. The maximum drive frequency of 2-2 phase excitation is 1200 pps. [pps: pulses per
second]

Paper Feed Mechanism

This mechanism consists of the paper feed mechanism and the platen-open mechanism.

Paper feed mechanism

The paper feed mechanism consists of the

platen

(paper feed roller) and the

thermal head

When the

motor, paper feed, receipt, B

rotates counterclockwise as viewed from the shaft,

the gear train transmits the motion to the

platen

which rotates in direction A.
