function allows the Web Interface password requirement to be
removed, without entering the current password.

The Web Interface will be open and accessible to everyone without requiring a password.
The
BACKUP
and
RESTORE
functions allow the creation and retrieval of archival copies of the
Shows on the Streamer Engine's hard disk drive.
Archives are transferred through any Streamer Engine USB port to a USB mass storage device, such
as a USB flash drive or external USB hard drive.
All files are stored in the root directory of the mass storage device. These include system and Show
configuration files, Playlist files, and highly compressed Show data files. The archive files typically
require only 10 - 15% of the space they occupy on the Streamer Engine's internal disk drive.
A single archival USB mass storage device should be connected to E-Streamer prior to attempting any
backup or restore operations.
The System Log screen on the Streamer Engine displays the system mounting and unmounting USB
mass storage devices

The
BACKUP
function creates a compressed archival copy of E-Streamer system configuration and
all Show data on a standard USB mass storage device. As the archiving process requires full access to
system resources, running Shows are automatically stopped before the backup process begins.
Existing E-Streamer files on the USB mass storage device are overwritten.

Processing time is dependent on the amount of Show data to be compressed and transferred to the
USB mass storage device, but is usually completed in less than one minute.
